What is Rhythm and Shoes all about?

We simply love to sing cover versions of popular and some lesser known (but equally great) songs from the 60s to today.

Our set is all about finding great songs to sing and sometimes this makes us a little different to most covers bands. Some are upbeat, sing-along, toe-tapping classics and some are gentle, chilled out numbers. 

There's always something in there for everyone. 

Our favourites include Sting, Simon & Garfunkel, The Civil Wars, Seal, Madonna, George Michael, Rhianna, The Police, Crowded House, Nancy Sinatra, Fairground Attraction, Roxette... and the list keeps growing. 

We don't use backing tracks, the whole performance is live. So if you like simple, no nonsense acoustic music and harmony singing come and check us out.

Venues

We play all sorts of venues, from pub gardens, to bars, to restaurants and the occasional festival stage.   

Now for the techie bit: We gig with a full range PA suitable for indoor and outdoor events.
(We are waterproof but our kit is not. If you are booking an outdoor gig, be sure to have a bad weather contingency plan as we do not play in the rain with risk to our equipment). 

We have different PA systems for different size events.  

We're happy to use other people's kit for larger festival or charity-based events, as long as you also provide a sound tech.

Open Mic nights

We also host popular Open Mic nights in the local area and would love you to come and join us, creating music in a friendly, welcoming and always appreciative environment.

All acts are encouraged and respected. No minimum standards required. Come and have a go.
